Good print starts with good files. Preparing artwork properly saves time and avoids a printed run that looks different from what you expected.
Files to send
- Logo as a vector file (PDF, AI, CDR or SVG) wherever possible.
- High-resolution images if a photo or graphic is needed.
- Text as outlines or the fonts supplied with the file.
- Box size and style so we place artwork on the correct panels.
Colours
Tell us whether you want 1 colour or multi-colour printing, and give colour references such as Pantone or CMYK values. Screen colours and printed colours can differ, and kraft board shows colour differently from white board.
Placement tips
- Keep important text and logos away from creases, flaps and edges.
- Leave a clear area for the courier label and handling marks.
- Keep barcodes and QR codes dark on a plain light background so they scan.
- Avoid very fine lines and tiny text, which may not reproduce well on corrugated board.
Useful information to print
Handling symbols such as "fragile" and "this side up", your business name and contact, and any product details you need on the pack.
Approve before printing
Ask for artwork approval before production and check spelling, phone numbers and colours. What is feasible, and the price and lead time, are confirmed in the written quotation before an order is confirmed.
