7 ply heavy duty box: for heavy, fragile and stacked loads
A 7 ply carton is triple-wall corrugated board: four liners and three fluted layers. It is built for loads that would crush or puncture lighter boxes, such as machine parts, heavy auto components, equipment and goods stacked several high or shipped long distances.
Because heavy-duty boxes depend on the right board grade and size, we confirm the specification with you before quoting. Share the weight, dimensions and how the box will be handled, and we reply in writing with price, minimum quantity and lead time.
How to choose
- Choose 7 ply for heavy machine and auto parts, industrial goods and fragile heavy items.
- Choose it for long-distance transport, export-style packing or tall stacking.
- If your product is light, 5 ply is usually enough and more economical.
Packing tips
- Pack heavy items low and centred, and fill voids so the load cannot move.
- Use strong tape or strapping on the seams for heavy cartons.
- Do not overload past what the agreed specification is meant to carry.
